How to Overcome Demons

I’ll give you a tip right away on how to overcome demons:

You’re too late.

Why do I say this? Well, because demons have already been overcome and defeated. Of course this doesn’t mean they still don’t try to bluff and bully you into being their slave. I tell my girls all the time that the scaries are scared of you… if you have Jesus that is. (For those of you reading this who don’t know Jesus then, well, you still belong to them and are their slave.)

For those of you who do belong to Jesus however, the secret is this:

Never give in to fear!

Too many have a big devil and a small Jesus. Some fear a powerless enemy but don’t have a healthy fear of God “in whom we live and move and have our being”. The devil is still God’s servant though he hates it. He is on a tight leash.

Remember the story of Job? Satan had to ask permission from the LORD for every test he brought Job. He was forbidden from taking his life. So we need not fear when our trust is secure in the LORD, our loving heavenly Papa and our Savior and Master Yeshua, and we mustn’t forget Holy Spirit, our dearest friend and constant companion.

Check out the level of victory Jesus has won:

“In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.” Colossians 2:15

Knowing the truth will set you free. Here are a few reflections on my own experiences and learning on the topic:

Part 2:

“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9Grieve, mourn, and weep. Turn your laughter to mourning, and your joy to gloom. 10Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will exalt you.” James 4:7-10
“God opposes the proud
but favors the humble.”

So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. 7Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
8Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. 9Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your Christian brothers and sisters all over the world are going through the same kind of suffering you are.” 1 Peter 5:5-9

The Whole Armor of God

10A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. 12For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
13Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. 14Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. 15For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.d 16In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.e 17Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.f

19And pray for me, too. Ask God to give me the right words so I can boldly explain God’s mysterious plan that the Good News is for Jews and Gentiles alike. 20I am in chains now, still preaching this message as God’s ambassador. So pray that I will keep on speaking boldly for him, as I should. (And pray for me too!) Ephesians 6 NLT

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.” 2 Corinthians 10

Lowdown on Lucid Dreaming

My First Lucid Dream was where I hijack an alien spacecraft and travel through 7 astral planes – one of which was only hypothetical so I felt my self breaking up – but somehow managed to save the universe from Imptreodod, the warlord from the Ulean Galaxy who is desperately trying to find ways to import his army into our dense 3 dimensional plane, though for the life of me I can’t figure out why. It was a very tough going when I was attacked by these locust like demonic swarm – they were the size of a German Shepherds! And finally, we all landed in a bowl of jello… the end.

Ok, so that was a bit of fiction if you couldn’t tell.

So here is my video where I learned something significant about why we are here:

HERE IS THAT LINK I MENTIONED (Contact from Heaven, For the Grieving Mother): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHw9-Vxbag4

And my music: http://reflectworship.com

Why I am sharing this!

The video explains why I am having the courage to share my experience. There will always be those who question my motives or what not. That’s fine. Ultimately I don’t answer to you. I have to give an account to God just like everyone else.

The Bible says “to the pure all things are pure”. Here is the full verse:

“To the pure, all things are pure, but to the defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure; but both their minds and their consciences are defiled” Titus 1:15

I am one who wants to be pure. I have spent too much of my past life being defiled and unbelieving. My goal now is to be childlike just like Jesus wants all of his kids to be. This means first and foremost to be completely dependent and trusting. Then we are free, as his kids, to be open and curious and full of adventure. May God give us pure hearts and an adventurous spirit!

Yet with any true adventure comes real danger. Ask Jesus to reveal himself to you, to protect you and guide you. Ok?

So yea, I mention I saw a grey alien. As soon as he saw me he turned and left. we are not alone. There are unseen inter-dimensional beings all around us. Good ones and bad ones. The good are those who submit themselves to the Lord Jesus Christ (who is Love and Truth and the true Light) and others hate him (and you!) vehemently.

For the Love of God please surrender your heart to Jesus.

Partly why I am sharing this with you is to warn you guys, if you don’t know Jesus as your Savior, you are in grave danger. If he isn’t your Good Shepherd protecting you, you have little to no control in the lucid dreaming realms. What control do you even think you have in this plane of existence? Encountering Jesus, He is Love!

I had a very interesting convo with a lady today at a nursing home who told me a remarkable story. Her story:

“When I was eighteen years old I was quite a sinner. My friend invited me to go to a bar out in the country. I agreed to go but regretted that decision soon after I arrived. My father was an alcoholic so I didn’t have a great feeling about being at this bar in the first place. I became very frightened and then my friend abandoned me there with no ride home.

I was so scared and did not know what to do. Suddenly, I felt a loving presence behind me.”

(She explained how she was a middle child and that her parents had favored and shown love to her siblings and left her out. She had felt woefully unloved.)

“But now, in this bar in my hour of need, I was receiving a love I had always needed,” she said. “Of course I knew it was Jesus. I turned and saw him. He was the most handsome man I had ever seen.”

(Of course we must realize that Jesus can appear in different forms as he did to his disciples after his resurrection or even at his transfiguration on the mountain, so to describe “what he looked like” is completely besides the point!)

“He embraced me, picked me up and carried me out of the bar and set me down on the grass outside. We sat there together and he took my hand and looked out into the night sky and he said, “Lovely evening isn’t it?”

He then vanished into thin air and I soon became frightened again. He spoke comforting words telepathically to me and then I was supernaturally translated (teleported) back into my house in my bed and Jesus was pulling the covers over me. It was such an unforgettable and amazing experience.”

She then went on to say, “You will receive persecution Daniel. The persecution will come mostly from those in God’s family whose hearts are not open. But don’t be afraid. Don’t be afraid to suffer persecution.

The day will come when members of your own family will turn against you. The days are coming when more true believers in Jesus will be beheaded for their faith, even here in America. America is in distress as never before. Persecutions and tribulations are coming.”

So what do you think?

I was amazed at her story and how confirming it was to other stories I have been encountering. I think God has me on a path to shed some light on this topic of Real Jesus Encounters and Supernatural Phenomena.

I have been increasingly aware of how the Lord is moving his saints more into experiencing the supernatural!

I just continue to be amazed that the Word of God is true in ways that most simply cannot or will not accept. The Truth is wonderfully exciting and meant to be experienced for yourself!

I’d love to see the foundation of Christianity shift from fear to what it is supposed to be… childlike trust! A fear based faith seems like an oxymoron to me.

Since the topic was raised once again today for me (her supernatural translation) I want to ask you, the believer:

When you read about Philips teleportation in Scripture does it cause you to want to experience it for yourself?

Why ever not?

If we are childlike in our faith, the kind that Jesus commends, will we not be open and curious? Wouldn’t we take risks? Wouldn’t we completely trust and be completely dependent on God as children are with their parents? Wouldn’t we have a sense of adventure and excitement about life and our walk with God? (Supernatural or otherwise).

How is Christianity presented today in America? Is it dull and boring? Judgemental, fearful and fear-mongering, suspicious, distrusting, and wildly superstitious? I can see why my friend would tell me, as he did the other day, that the life the devil offers seems more exciting so he will just remain a prodigal a little longer.

I’m tired of playing the prodigal myself I want to come home and stay home! I want to participate in kingdom life and “do what Jesus did” just like Jesus said I would:

“I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.” John 14:12

How about you? Will you pray for me that I go deeper in my walk with God and experience all there is for a human to experience of him in this life?

One thing the lady told me today when speaking of Jesus:

“He is love, He is love, He is love”.

I thought she was prophetically quoting my song I had just been listening to in my car called He is Love. It will appear on our new album “Reflect Love” that is coming out soon.

Here is my live version I recorded right after I wrote it:

Lyrics:

He is Love

If you can’t see past your pain and confusion
If you feel alone and overwhelmed by what you face
If the circumstances of your heart feel too hard to navigate
And you feel so very far, far away

You’ve got to know there is joy beyond this heartache
You need to see there is peace behind this storm
It all will change in just a moment with Jesus
As his light drives the darkness away

He is love, He’s all around you
He is love, He’s come and found you
Feel His loving arms surround you
He is love, He is love, He is love

And if you’re broken and bewildered
And if you’re drowning in your pain
And if the sadness of depression
Weighs you down every day… just know that…

He is love, He’s all around you
He is love, He’s come and found you
Feel His loving arms surround you
He is love, He is love, He is love

He knows your name
He feels your pain
He cares more deeply than you’ll ever know

He is love, He’s all around you
He is love, He’s come and found you

If you can’t see past your pain and confusion
If you feel alone and overwhelmed by what you face
And the circumstances of your heart feel too hard to navigate
Jesus is here to heal you now, for He is love

You will love the studio version! I can’t wait to share it with you! Stay tuned and subscribe to this blog or go to our website: www.reflectworship.com and join our mailing list.

Did that happen in our world?

I was listening to the story of Samson the other day with my daughter. Isn’t it great to see any story in Scripture through the eyes of a child? That’s why I love sharing these stories with my daughter.

“Samson was a man supernaturally gifted by God with incredible strength”, I would tell her. “He lifted a heavy gate over his head and could even lift our van over his head! He really could!”

Here is what the Scripture mentions that Samson did:

“Then he (Samson) got up, took hold of the doors of the town gate, including the two posts, and lifted them up, bar and all. He put them on his shoulders and carried them all the way to the top of the hill across from Hebron.” Judges 16:3 NLT

all possible for those who believeHow much did this gate weigh? I’m guessing it was probably more than a minivan.

“Did that happen in our world,” Ellie would ask. “Yes, in our world.”

What about today? Could that sort of thing happen to you or I?

How sad it is when the stories of Scripture become so familiar that they lose their vitality and life. Sometimes we think, ‘Oh that was in Bible times so it doesn’t relate to me.’ Or, ‘That was a prophet or an apostle so we could never do what they did.’ But that kind of thinking isn’t what Scripture teaches us. It certainly isn’t what Jesus teaches us. What has happened to us? When did we lose our childlikeness and mystery? What did we trade our faith for and was it worth it?

Jesus himself said:

“I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.” John 14:12 NLT

Astounding words.
images-1So, could you or I be gifted with supernatural strength like Samson?

Of course we can!

I know this because it happened to my brother!

Years ago my dad was working on a car in the driveway. A 2-ton (around 4,000 pounds!) car shifted and the jack slipped out while he was under it. My brother heard my dad yell as he was trapped beneath the car. He ran over and lifted the 2-ton car off of my dad and he was able to get out.

I suppose the reason I share this is to reiterate this point:

And, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” ~Jesus (Mark 9:23)

Are we going to believe him?
