I think God’s into numbers?

So we went on a road trip a couple of weekends ago. I noticed that as we were leaving the place we visited the odometer read all ones and fours. Then, once back home, when we pulled up into our driveway it was all ones and fours again. My wife again took it out for an errand the next day and came back and it read 141414.

So what’s going on here?

Is God trying to communicate to me through numbers? I’m sure many of you have had numbers highlighted to you at one point or another.  But how do you know what they mean? I mean, do you google it and let the first “new age” website or http://www.ask-angels.com tell you what it means? Or do you go for something a little more solid?

How about getting an actual personal revelation from God? (A close second for me would be from a prophet that I trust hears from God).

I am naturally a very skeptical person. It takes some hard evidence to convince me of most anything. When I encounter something new, I don’t always know where to find solid sound answers for questions I have. And besides, once you start digging it raises so many more questions. Which is awesome!!! I far prefer this to finding “answers” and ‘moving on’ anyway. It is the height of boring to “have everything figured out”. How so many teenagers manage to do this at such a young age is beyond me.

Case in point:

Recently the number 222 had been highlighted to me. I saw it one day on a guitar that I was repairing for someone (Yes, there is a 222 guitar by First-Act). I then was redirected by construction to go a different way home and saw the 222 building in downtown Appleton.

I then was asked by a still small voice, “What day is it?”

I realized it was February 22nd. 222! “Ok God, you have my attention. So what does this mean?” I told him, “I am not going to consult anything and I’m going to ask you about this tonight in my dream”.

Sure enough, that night I remembered to ask about it in my dream.

(Last night the final thought I woke up with was “what exquisite marvelous fun” at the thought of “playing God” in the dream world. Making up immersive experiences and living out different “what if” scenarios. Or having alternate realities created for me in which to learn and grow.)

So I asked in my dream what 222 meant and I was simply told (I think by angels) “dimensions”. I immediately thought of a cube box and then my mind when to the x, y, and z planes in geometry. Beyond this I don’t have any further revelation besides stumbling upon another “prophetic type” of person who highlighted Daniel 2:22 (Kind of personal, right? Daniel?)

And then of course I see it on license plates, and all kinds of other places all. the. time.

So back to ones and fours. Today I was watching a vid, paused it randomly, and saw this:

A couple of years ago the numbers 444 were highlighted. I talked about this in my blog post Reflect Love and Sacred Geometry. Well, you can check out that post if you want… but, you probably won’t. Actually, would you please NOT read that one? You might judge me and persecute me on facebook or something… ok, I am totally joking! In fact, I encourage the push back. Challenge me! That too is great fun because as the Scripture says, iron sharpens iron, and I rejoice whenever the Truth wins out, even if I am wrong. Like the first chapter of The Purpose Driven Life says:

“It’s not about you”.

So I learned a thing or two about 444. Not all of what I learned was in the above mentioned blog post. I’m still feel fairly ignorant when it comes to this stuff.

Then 1111 became a thing. Again, I couldn’t tell you what it’s all supposed to mean. It was encouraging to me that Shawn Bolz had a season where God was highlighting 1111 to him and speaking some marvelous things to him. What it meant to me has a great deal to do with what I learned and shared in this post about our mystical union with God.

Update! I just posted this and became number 1111 on number of likes on my friends facebook page The Rising Light.

So I need more revelation on all this but it keeps life interesting.
